Sailing Experience Day

Fancy yourself as a budding Ellen MacArthur, harnessing natures resources and cutting across the water under the power of the wind? Experience the joy of sailing with a half day or a full day course under the guidance of a qualified instructor learning the skills of sailing a yacht or dinghy. On the full day experience, you'll be taught the points of sail, rules of the waves and the gybe. For the full day (Explorer) course, you will generally be given lunch (check before booking) and the afternoon will encompass more practice of the skills you have tried in the morning.Need to know:Minimum age 12, although this varies between centres. You should be a confident swimmer, in reasonable health and agile enough to climb around the vessel.
